A blue sky and 25 degrees, so what more can we want for our family wedding. We have gathered in the middle Rhine town of Linz am Rhine, which sits between the cities of Bonn and Koblenz.  This small town boosts colour. Half-timbered buildings-- some are standing quite crooked with crafted roof beams that are held together by a mere wooden peg.  Some houses go back in age; as far as five centuries. Just imagine an illustration in a Brothers Grimm fairy tale book, and this thought will take you to this small, water edged town.

a picnic at a favorite palace

When my students of English suggested us getting together for an summer evening's picnic; we took the opportunity to use the planning for our English lesson. Vocabularies for picnic food and preparation had been practised during our session-- right down to the word 'cork screw.' The recipe planning was also part of our class period. Recipes: kipfel, cream cheese and  were prepared by these four multi-talented Secretaries, then translated from German to English to share on a Palate & a Passport. Thanks ladies!
