The "Birds of Paradise" models
Just for a different post today, here's a feathery portrait collection of a blonde, brunette and a red-haired -- I relate to the ladies as being the "LightGiants angels," as they had endured the evening ever so patiently under constant bright lighting and with their make-up in tact!
"Birds of Paradise" was the head and shoulder themed workshop for the evening that was organised by my photography buddies at the LightGiants studio. The LightGiants' expert team had guided Stephanie; the birthday girl on the evening, Boris and myself through their lighting set-up: a large soft-box, diffuser and fun coloured gels as background effects as you can see in the main picture of the models.
Lisa Futterer (pictured above) was the talented hair & make-up stylist and was also our brunette model for the evening. Lisa assists at the LightGiants workshops on a regular basis, so you can take a peep at more of Lisa's work here.
Thanks to the Lighting and model team once again for your efforts, and I'll look forward to a second bout of workshop...if I am allowed!
Check-out for the lighting "know-how" graphs and video on the LightGiant site.
You may like to see some other studio pictures that I have practised here and a few of my students of business English here.

... A beautiful variation of photos Julie. I bet the Birds will love them! Love the blue one of Lisa and the close up of the idea. Great idea! |

... The idea of the shoot was to show how you can quickly change the atmosphere of a photo simply by changing the background lighting.... hope you enjoyed the night |
